What You’ll Do
This is a full-time on-site role for an Investment Associate located in Langley, BC. The Investment Associate is a direct assistant to a team of portfolio managers. The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, and have an ability to take initiative, and prioritize daily tasks. A strong ability to take charge and meet tight deadlines will ensure your success in this role. Experience in financial planning or investment is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process account opening documents
- Hold client onboarding and ongoing service meetings
- Review documents in advance of meetings
- Work with online systems to upload documents to custodians
- Process trades in client accounts and fund custodian accounts
- Service client accounts, including email inquiries and hold review meetings
- Liaise with compliance and account services team members
- Look for issues before they escalate and implement solutions
- Maintain client relationships and get to know clients
- Provide operational support, including ad hoc administrative support
Qualifications & Experience:
- Great attention to detail
- Passion for client service with a lot of patience
- Strong financial planning background and knowledge is a plus
- Comfortable with technology and software
- Enjoys helping others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is a plus but not a requirement
- Ability to work towards an advising representative registration or equivalent (portfolio manager)
