Investment Associate

What You’ll Do

This is a full-time on-site role for an Investment Associate located in Langley, BC. The Investment Associate is a direct assistant to a team of portfolio managers. The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, and have an ability to take initiative, and prioritize daily tasks. A strong ability to take charge and meet tight deadlines will ensure your success in this role. Experience in financial planning or investment is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process account opening documents
  • Hold client onboarding and ongoing service meetings
  • Review documents in advance of meetings
  • Work with online systems to upload documents to custodians
  • Process trades in client accounts and fund custodian accounts
  • Service client accounts, including email inquiries and hold review meetings
  • Liaise with compliance and account services team members
  • Look for issues before they escalate and implement solutions
  • Maintain client relationships and get to know clients
  • Provide operational support, including ad hoc administrative support

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Great attention to detail
  • Passion for client service with a lot of patience
  • Strong financial planning background and knowledge is a plus
  • Comfortable with technology and software
  • Enjoys helping others
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is a plus but not a requirement
  • Ability to work towards an advising representative registration or equivalent (portfolio manager)
