Peter Fang
Peter has 20 years of advisory and investment experience globally. He has been the CEO of Hoovest since its founding in 2014. Hoovest has since expanded into multiple fund asset classes as well as serving its clients’ needs in access to private equity, venture capital, and structured investments.
Peter has been managing investment assets and advising clients as a registered advisor in Canada since 2013, establishing a branch as an advisor with Manulife Securities in partnership with insurance advisors.
Prior to his entry into the investment industry, Peter was an investment banker with J.P. Morgan in London, U.K. and CITIC Securities in Hong Kong where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions, private placements, spin-off IPOs, rights issues, and other corporate finance activities, particularly for companies in the real estate, technology, insurance, banking, and financial services sectors.
Peter holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from UBC and a master’s degree in Management and Regulation of Risk from the London School of Economics. Additionally, Peter is a CFA charterholder.
