Corporate Finance Manager

What You’ll Do

As a Corporate Finance Manager at Hoovest, you will work closely with senior leadership to support and execute corporate finance initiatives across the firm. Your primary focus will be on transaction execution, financial analysis, capital structuring, valuation, and strategic advisory activities related to acquisitions, financing, partnerships, and other corporate initiatives. This role is well suited for a candidate with prior investment banking transaction experience and a strong foundation in deal execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the evaluation and execution of corporate finance transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raises, restructurings, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Build and review detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials to support decision-making and execution.
  • Assist in assessing financing structures, capital solutions, and strategic alternatives for corporate and project-level opportunities.
  • Prepare presentations, investment memoranda, pitch materials, management discussion materials, and other transaction-related documentation.
  • Coordinate due diligence processes and support the management of data rooms, internal workstreams, and third-party advisors.
  • Analyze target companies, counterparties, industries, and market conditions to support transaction strategy and negotiations.
  • Work closely with senior management on deal structuring, execution timelines, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Assist with negotiations and transaction processes by preparing financial analysis, discussion materials, and execution support documentation.
  • Collaborate across internal teams, including investment, legal, compliance, and operations, to advance strategic transactions efficiently.
  • Monitor capital markets, financing conditions, and broader market developments relevant to the firm’s corporate finance activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, private equity, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior investment banking transaction experience is strongly preferred, with exposure to live deals, transaction execution, and financial modeling.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, and transaction processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare polished presentations and transaction materials.
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial databases and transaction platforms is an asset.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
  • Demonstrated commercial judgment, professionalism, and strong problem-solving ability.
