What You’ll Do

As an Investment Analyst at Hoovest, you will work closely with senior team members to support investment strategies, research, and execution. Your primary focus will be on financial analysis, market research, valuation, and reporting across a range of asset classes including equities, fixed income, and alternative investments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed financial modeling and valuation to support investment decisions and recommendations.
• Perform fundamental research on industries, markets, and individual companies, synthetising insights into written reports and presentations.
• Assist in portfolio monitoring, performance analysis, and risk assessment to support portfolio optimization.
• Prepare investment memos, pitch books, and client-ready deliverables summarizing research findings and investment theses.
• Contribute to due diligence and investment committee preparation.
• Collaborate across teams and functions, including risk, compliance, and portfolio management, to align analytical insights with strategic priorities.
• Stay current with macroeconomic trends, market developments, and regulatory changes affecting investment strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in investment analysis, asset management, banking, consulting, or related analytical role is preferred.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, compelling reports and presentations.
• High proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Bloomberg, capital markets data platforms, or financial software is advantageous.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, desire to learn, and strong problem-solving ability.

Nice to Have:

Progress toward or completion of CFA designation or equivalent professional credentials. Experience with portfolio analytics, performance reporting, or risk systems.
